Inspiring our pupils to succeed is something we are passionate about at Fulbrook. During the year we run a number of ‘Super Learning Days’ when the timetable stops for the day and children participate in ‘hands on’ themed active learning days, with invited lecturers.
We run a comprehensive programme of clubs and activities above and beyond standard academic pursuits, covering interests as diverse as film and art; orchestra and choir; drama and even scooter and skateboarding!
There are many opportunities for participation in sport at the core of our extra-curricular provision (see details below).
8am every morning
The cost of Breakfast Club covers the cost of food and drink provision plus staffing costs and is £2 per day. Costs for pupils eligible for ‘Pupil Premium’ funding will be fully covered.
Clubs currently available before school include: Athletics and Basketball. After school we offer Rounders, Dodgeball, various Football, Rugby and Netball fixtures, Science and Coding Clubs. Some sporting clubs are seasonal.
A key strength is the excellent range of extra-curricular activities that have a very high take-up
The table below shows the extra-curricular activities planned for the current school year. The activities take place either before school, at lunchtime or after school, with the sporting events arranged at the appropriate time of year.
While many of these activities do take place at lunchtimes, where children are involved before or after school, they must inform their parents who in turn need to ensure that arrangements for transport to and from school have been made.
Children may also be involved in rehearsals for music and drama productions. In these instances we will request parental permission in writing for children to take part.
Extra-curricular activities enrich children's educational experience and we encourage as many as possible to take part.
Breakfast and supervision is provided for children.
