Music
Mrs C Jones
Overview
At Fulbrook the music course gives the children an opportunity to explore music of the past and present as well as from a wide range of cultures. Through listening and performing comes the stimulus for creative work and composition, which in turn leads to the introduction of new and traditional ways of notation.
We make our music as practical as possible. All children have the opportunity to play a range of pitched and unpitched instruments as individuals and in groups.
There is also a variety of music clubs to take part in throughout the year to develop music ensemble skills such as: string group, guitar club, woodwind group, choir and Fulbrook Band. Choir take part in the Young Voices show and our band has taken part in the annual Bedfordshire Music Festival; they have won six times in a row. All clubs work towards performances for our annual Christmas and summer concerts. All pupils are extremely welcome to visit the clubs before committing to join.
