House System and Rewards
It is a primary aim of our school that every member
of the school community feels valued and respected
and that each person is treated fairly and well. We praise and reward children for good behaviour in a variety of ways:
Teachers will use verbal praise;
Teachers give children house points;
Compliment slips and text messages will be awarded for excellent work;
For particularly outstanding work pupils receive a Headteacher’s Commendation Certificate;
Teachers will give class points to be collected for good class behaviour and 25 points equate to a reward.
The House System at Fulbrook promotes a sense of belonging and co-operation. Public spiritedness is nurtured through House charity events. The presence of four houses provides a competitive platform, where pupils can contribute towards their team success.
House points are totalled regularly and during assemblies prizes are given for best individual performances; House totals are revealed and updated. The final tally of House points is known after the Sports’ Day points are added and the House Shield is presented to the winning House Captains.
The four Houses at Fulbrook are: Apollo, Athena, Hermes and Poseidon.
The School Council
We would like to wish you a warm welcome to our school, which is full of opportunity and friendship.
Friends are easy to come by and you will always feel welcome in the Fulbrook Family. Nobody is left behind within our school community.
Our motto ‘Learning Together for Success’ is so true; everyone joins in and makes the most of the countless opportunities on offer. The adults are kind, understanding and helpful. Everyone is given the chance to get his or her opinion across. Our School Council is the perfect example of this. Fulbrook is a school where every pupil is included – no one is left out. As members of the School Council, we are often
involved in the making of important decisions that will – ultimately - affect us, our fellow pupils and the success of the school.
We are very proud of our school; we feel safe and valued. Words that come to mind when we think of Fulbrook are: lively, motivating, caring, togetherness, and inspirational. At Fulbrook, we strive for excellence.
We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you in person. You are warmly invited to visit at any time. We do all we can to create an environment that is warm, friendly, disciplined and supportive.
Come and see for yourself!

Lockers and Lost Property
All children rent a locker for a £10.00 charge, which gives them a secure place where they can keep their belongings. Pupils should ensure that their lockers are ’cleared’ every Friday and are expected to lock locker door with the padlock.
The cost of a replacement locker padlock is £10.
The children are expected to take responsibility for their own belongings. There will be occasions when children lose things. We ask that all items are named, in which case found items will be returned direct to pupils. Unnamed items are stored in the lost property cupboard which can be accessed through the school day; items will be disposed of at the end of each half term if not collected. When pupils leave Fulbrook, they are asked to return their locker padlock.
Library Books When pupils join Fulbrook they will be asked to pay a £10 deposit to cover the loan of library books. This deposit will be returned when they leave, provided all library books they have borrowed have been returned.
