Science
Mr N Colbourne
Overview
We provide a high-quality science education in school. We inspire children by stimulating their curiosity and excitement about our world and beyond. To this end, we teach units of work through a range of media with a strong emphasis on scientific investigation. We aim to provide children with a secure knowledge of the methods, processes and applications needed for successful scientific enquiry.

We are extremely well-equipped to teach science with two bespoke science laboratories which include interactive whiteboards, computers and multi-media facilities. Furthermore, all science teachers are specialists with a proven passion for their subject. In our quest to keep pace with the latest developments in science, we regularly invite outside speakers from universities, hospitals and industry.

Science will continue to play a pivotal role in our economic prosperity. It is fascinating, fun and of vital importance to all our children.
It is expected that homework set should take no longer
than 20 minutes (Years 5 & 6) or 30 minutes (Years 7&8)
to complete. In addition to the tasks set out by the
timetable, we request that children read or are read to
daily for 15 minutes.
