TEACHER OF ENGLISH

Salary:                     Main Scale – suitable for NQT

Fulbrook Middle School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and reliable teacher of English, currently in Key Stage 2 and 3 (Years 5-8). The ability to teach English is essential. Newly Qualified Teachers are very welcome to apply. This post may also suit candidates in the early stage of their career.

 

You will have:

  • Secondary Trained Qualified Teacher Status;

  • the ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results;

  • excellent organisational and ICT skills;

  • the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;

 

The ability to teach additional subjects would also be an advantage.

 

Fulbrook Middle School is a very popular, high achieving four form entry school for children aged 9-13 years with an exciting strategic plan for the future (see link below), which includes the proposal to become an extended secondary school from 2022.

 

Set in a magnificent green field site, just within the county boundary of Bedfordshire, the school is close to the exciting and vibrant city of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. Our current number on role is 454.

 

We are a Values accredited school with excellent results for academic subjects. However, we feel that becoming a successful member of society is more than just gaining good examination results.

Contract Term: One year apprenticeship

Contract Type: Full Time. 30 hours per week in school and one day per week in training.

Fulbrook Middle School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice to assist the school in the development of PE and School Sport, providing technical, practical, administrative and classroom support within the school.

 

You will have:

  • Sufficient literacy and numeracy to undertake the duties of the role;

  • Basic experience of providing physical education support;

  • Good written and oral communication skills;

  • the ability to work effectively as part of a team;

CLEANER

PART TIME CLEANER

Contract Term:  Permanent

Contract Type:  Part Time (term time plus 2 weeks during school holidays and training                                days) 42 weeks per year.

                            15 hours per week over 5 days per week.

                            2:30pm – 5:30pm

Grade:                1A Scale Point 1

Salary:               £17,364 FTE - Actual £7,930

Start Date:         Immediate Start

We are looking to appoint a cleaner to join our dedicated cleaning team on a permanent basis.

 

The post is term time (including training days) plus 2 weeks worked during the school holidays to be worked during the summer break.

 

The successful applicant will be:

 

  • Enthusiastic, reliable and flexible.

  • Able to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school.

  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role.

  • Able to work within a team and individually.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

 

Cleaning experience would be desirable but is not essential.

In house training will be given where necessary including Health & Safety.

Salary:                Grade 2D NJC Scp 4-6 (Actual £1,992 - £2,073)

Contract Type:    Part Time (Usually 18 meetings per year – approximately 200 hours                                    per year)

Start Date:           Immediate Start

Fulbrook Middle School is seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Governing Body. The successful candidate will be able to attend meetings during the day and evenings, take accurate minutes and distribute papers for meetings of the Full Governing Body, Pupil Engagement, Achievement and Policy Committee and Finance, Estates and Staffing Committee.

 

You will: 

• Provide a full clerking service to the Local Governing Body; 

• Be able to take accurate minutes from your own notes or a dictaphone and then produce well-presented minutes for distribution; 

• Collate and distribute agendas and associated paperwork in advance of meetings; 

• Be available to take minutes at a minimum of 18 meetings throughout the year. Meetings will take place in the evenings and during the day; 

• Provide procedural and legal advice and guidance; 

• Maintain accurate records.
